The Reformed Church In Zimbabwe 32nd Synod Assembly ran from the 24th to the 28th of August 2022 at Chibi High School. The theme was “Church on the move: Preaching the gospel in season and out season”. The RCZ Synod Assembly gathers after every two years and all Reverends from different RCZ Congregations witness and partakes in this Synod Assembly. The 2020 Synod Assembly did not sit in due to covid -19 and it was postponed to 2022. Deliberations at the Synod Assembly include Departmental Reports, the narration of commandments (Rondedzero yemurairo), and the Nhau 2022 synod.
The Synod has all the legislative powers to direct the movement of the church. At the Synod
Assembly there was a selection of the Synod Committee which will run from 2022-2024. This
committee steers the church in the right direction.

Reformed Church University being the Reformed Church in Zimbabwe Institution also had a chance to recite to the audience present with the RCU report during the Synod Assembly. The report covered quite a number of areas which included information on our degree programmes, infrastructural development, the RCU Inclusivity Hub, Fundraising initiative and above all our achievements as an Institution. Reformed Church University was represented by the University Council Chairman Dr .A. Mazvuru, Vice Chancellor Professor .E. Dumbu, Registrar Mrs .M.Mapanga, Director of Business Development, Strategic Planning and Monitoring Mr. G Madhora, and Information and Public Relations Officer Miss .R. Manyame
